Had a couple of nights in the ganghut (Wed/Thu) Carried in 10Kg of coal and left it for others to enjoy. :D Thought there would be more snow about, but it's all gone, just a few patches here and there.

Definitely going to scotties will be there around 3 or 4, bringing black rocks that burn and funny Scottish water

On the return journey from Corrour , I found a Griffith ? ice axe , but further on I caught up with a few guys , I asked if they had lost an ice axe , to a reply from a fifer....aye ...I asked him what colour it was ...he said... av lost ah meh ice axes , ah different colours neighbour .Joking aside , he was glad he got his ice axe . (he was fae Belfast ) ..Anyway , Scotties was spotless , apart from the food shelf , I burned approx. 20bag of various pastas!

Although we've popped our heads in many times this was our first ever overnighter in this bothy. Keir and I spent Thursday night on our own!!!! and Friday in some good company. Still only 7 of us. We expected it to be really busy given the weekend weather forecast hence going up on Thursday. Very surprised at how quiet it was. Plenty folk camping in the area though. The bothy is kept immaculate by the folk who look after it. Didn't need much coal or wood to get a great fire going...roasty toasty both nights. Two great days on the hills; Friday we headed up Glen Derry to climb Beinn Mheadhoin and then Derry Cairngorm and Saturday headed up Carn a Mhaim. So glad we left the hut early and got the summit to ourselves as, on the way down, we met hordes of folk. Maybe that orange thing in the sky had something to do with it. Hope to make a return journey. Thanks to those who look after Bob Scotts so that the rest of us can enjoy it. :D :D
